Microgaming Launches New Poker Client to Enrich User Experience

Microgaming, the leading software provider among the best casino and poker sites in the UK, recently launched new poker software, Prima. The gaming provider was one of the first to establish an online poker network. The roots of Prima poker client date back to 2003. However, the popularity of Microgaming poker network has been on a decline for quite some time. This is why the gaming provider decided to rebrand their poker product.

In May, Microgaming announced that they’d be rolling out the new version of Prima poker on their poker network. The gaming operator recognised that its poker software could no longer match their competitors’ offering, as Microgaming developed their poker client using technologies that became old-fashioned.

Head of Product at Microgaming, Alex Scott reminded users about the old times, when Microgaming had six poker clients. He also explained that the old poker client was built in C++, which he referred to as “a legacy language.” Scott further explained that the company’s new poker software focuses on simplicity. For that reason, Prima removed some of its features, such as chat and mini view table features.

Microgaming no longer wants to predict what users want in the future. So, the new client features a feedback system based on which the operator will make changes to its poker software. Prima also supports more informed gambling experience with its player history tool.  Additionally, Microgaming poker client features more intuitive navigation, ultra-high definition graphics, and it is compatible with various devices.

“This is our biggest and most important poker release and the culmination of a multi-year strategy to revitalise our product and leapfrog the competition,” said Alex Scott.

As the company announced on their official website, they started rolling out the new poker client on July 26th. All users should already have access to it by now.
